Mum off duty

I've written this post all about my birthday night out. We all adore our kids but every now and then we have to let our hair down and enjoy some adult time along with a few glasses of vino.

I love getting all dolled up for a night out on the tiles. This doesn't happen that often and not for the reason that we can't get out or get someone to mind our little girl. I think once you become a parent, nights out just aren't a priority on our list. So when we do have a night out now, it's that little bit more special because it doesn't happen very often.

We decided to go to Westport for one night. We stayed at the gorgeous Westport Plaza Hotel, which is one of my favourites. Everything about this place I love; the location, staff and the spa is lovely too. It's a real gem of a hotel. Westport to me is like a mini Galway, you have everything in one place and will never be disappointed with the great choice of restaurants and bars.

My outfit for my birthday was simple but still sexy. I went for this red silky dress (was coming up pink in photos though). It was so comfortable to wear, I loved it.
